I was so excited to get this book & tore through it in a day. I NEEDED to see how this series ended. Especially after the mid-series drop of the second installment, I was ready for the characters to get together and really have a jam-packed storyline. And it did, I hate to give it just 3 stars because like the books before it, it was a total page-turner. But, for alllllll the buildup about Helen & Lucas in the first two novels, it came down to mere pages at the end of this book. And basically it was like 'Oh, we're NOT cousins - yay!'. And they kissed (for like the 4th time ever) and lived happily ever after. Again, maybe this is where the line crosses in audience for these YA books and older readers. I accept that. Her writing is awesome, and I definitely will try some of her other stuff. But if you're over 20, don't expect a lot of closure between the main characters in this final book.

Oh. My. Goddess. This book was spectacular! Goddess is the third and final book in the Starcrossed trilogy. I recieved Goddess Thursday at about five pm. I finished it by three pm today. I flew through those pages so fast, I couldn't tell one minute from the next. I'd say "I'll read one chapter" which is not a good idea unless I plan to read the entire book, I have learned. When the book arrived, it was like everything in the world had turned in puppies and rainbows, I was so excited. The book's an amazing read that you DO NOT want to miss.

The main character is Helen Hamilton. Over the course of the books, Helen's journey is clearly displayed. This book brings that journey to a close. She has shed the skin of weak, hiding behind her best friend Helen, and has stepped into a new one that I believe fits her much better. Helen has found the strength she's been lacking in the previous books. Her powers grow exponentially, which causes some fear in her friends and loved ones. As Helen grows more powerful, she gains new enemies. She is betrayed by someone she trusted most in the book, which literally killed my feels. I wanted to shout at the author for doing this to readers. She is extremely loyal, but to a fault. Even she has her limits when she knows that someone is too far gone. Helen views love, hate, betrayal, grief, and so much more in all their glory. Her new powers startle her, and she grows into them slowly. As she learns her limits and boundaries (which she has almost none of) Helen then pushes them until they break. She proves again and again that she will do anything for those she loves. Lucas, Claire, Orion, and all the others propel her to do things she wouldn't have even considered before. The gods don't stand a chance when Helen's there. She's completely kick-butt powerful and awesome. Awesomesauce doesn't even begin to describe this amazing heroin.

Much of this book felt a bit cheesy. Helen does and says things, especially with love interest Lucas, that just doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the scene. They may be things that need to be said, but not in that exact moment. To be fair, when readers realize just how long they've been pining after each-other, readers will quickly and easily forgive them. Then of course, there's the final battle that the entire book is building towards. Helen makes a really hard decision that has it's repercussions. Let me say this, the final battle was WAY too easy. No matter how much I hate my favorite characters hurting, authors should not go easy on them. Helen has a brilliant idea that I can't fault, but dang it, I wanted more action. This will easily be one of my favorite books of 2013. I give the book five stars!
I waited for the last book in this series, before giving my opinion, because I have become a bit of a skeptic regarding book "series".

This is how it's done RIGHT.

It has too much to NOT to be a series. It's everything you dream of in a good book series.
All 3 books are amazing. The Story is chalked full of true imagination containing love, action, family, big reveals, huge betrayals, history, adventure, scary, funny, and all by great characters of this world and a few others.
The Storyline has similar attributes of certain formulas previously read, (It's SO much more though) Yet it is chalked full of originality.
All 3 books were so hard to put down. I loved the actual storyline as a whole. Definitely worth my time. I already know I will read this series again.

Goddess is a wonderful book, it's such a shame to say goodbye to this series and these characters I grew so attached to.

First let me say how mesmerized I am by the story and... the cover (yup! I adore it!)

I loved absolutely everything about this book, about the whole series actually.

The characters matured so much through it and they gained depth.
We got to know a lot about each of them, things we weren't aware of.

I even related to Daphne. (not that I got to like her but I could understand her motives)

Lucas, Orion and Helen, the perfect love triangle. It was so properly developed that I couldn't decide which of the guys I liked more.

But not only them, Hector... what a character! The warrior. Smart, strong, loyal and so caring and protective of others.

Actually all of them were swoon worthy! But not only because they were sexy or else, J. Angelini is great at creating complex personalities.
They just pull you in the story.

" I couldn't love you more if you came to me holding the sun in your right hand and all the stars in the sky in your left"

What else? I loved the past live flashes!

oh! and nearly at the end there was a moment that I was like OMG! this can't be happening! I was about to through the book away, because based on the actual Greek myth, that particular event had to happen but I just couldn't believe it!
Though, how it unfolded is for me to know and for you to find out when you read the book! D

Still, the end is bittersweet, but stunning!!!

To sum up, this was an exciting read with lots of love and schemes, surprises and a lot of action!
