This one is the best of this series so far, in my opinion it should have been Book 1 in the series.
This is all about Michelle's story, how she became a vampire, how she was treated by her master back then, everything she went through, and finally it answered the question me and so many have wondered, "What happened to her Master" This is one thrilling book, with tons of fighting, blood, and guts... a little more fighting than I normally like to read about, but it kept me glued to this book page after page.

Why four stars?
As far as the sex, it is still just rated X not an erotica XXX book...
Fewer typos in this one but still there were several.
And still the French words, loads of people talking in French, more so in this one because it is based in Paris.
I do not read or speak French....
And I must say this author sure likes his Blondes... so many blondes, men and women...

I DO RECOMMEND THIS BOOK, for adults only of course...

I am not going to give away any spoilers here, so let me just tell you that this was my favorite in The Nightlife Series. Read New York and Las Vegas to appreciate everything that transpires in this book.
Introducing another supernatural character into the weave of his story, the author has made a game change in the main characters life. The story will continue with his love for one vampire woman and the admiration of someone new.
Enjoy, enjoy, love this writer! This series just keeps getting better and better. Each book stands up on its own, and blends easily together. Very good story telling, he's perfect in his organizing the story lines, no cliff hangers at the end of his story's. Very addicting.

This was an excellent paranormal romance suspense novel. I especially enjoyed the latter part of the book. I'm looking forward to find out the fates of Aaron, Michelle, and Urvashi. Michelle's personal tragedy has made her heart hardened by the ravages of war, pain, and suffering. Her story was like reading a history book on WWII. This book was well written.
I did read this book out of order from the others in the series, but it was great! I am always looking for action packed books like The Nightlife Paris gave me. It was very easy to go along with Michelle as she was telling about her past. Not trying to give anything away but this book does go into a great detail about her past it made sense to me when I started to read the other books, some of the details may be too much for some people to handle.

If you are looking for something to keep you on the edge of your seat and filled with the promise of action and romance then this is the book for you.
Having read the first two books in The Nightlife Series, both of which are definitely 5 stars, I found that The Nightlife Paris was even more entertaining because of Michelle's backstory. We find out the trials and tribulations of the young, beautiful, Parisian woman who was brutally turned into a vampire by an unloving husband that should have cared for and protected her. This well-written story helps the reader understand and empathize with her on a human level. The book has the usual erotic and exotic narrative. But, by revealing Michelle's early Parisian living conditions in a World War II environment, profoundly adds depth to the story. This book's gravitas adds to the storyline and makes it more believable.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this blood biting drama. I'm sure I will not be dissappointed. I'd highly recommend The Nightlife Series to anyone who has a "taste" for Vampire Stories.
Whereas the first two books basically concentrated on Aaron and his adjustments due to becoming a Vampire, this book gave us some MUCH needed background on Michelle, his Vampire Master. Her character development had been sadly neglected until this book. Her years before becoming a Vampire and just after being turned took place during the time of the German invasion of France, giving the reader a glimpse into those violent years of Hitler's reign of terror.

Explicit sex and bloodthirsty Vampires makes for an interesting Paranormal series. It would be best to read these books in order. I'll probably continue with the series.
